Indian honey bees construct hives under rocks or trees. This honey is harvested by our tribal communities using age-old traditional methods of squeezing honeycombs. These combs are collected from the deep forests and mountain regions of the Western Ghats, where there is a rich, abundant source of untouched flora and herbs. This results in honey with high medicinal value, beneficial for both children and adults. This species is known as Apis cerana indica.
